Tells the story of how a handful of Vietnam Veterans, the United States Government, and a children's medical charity came together to lay the groundwork for the United States to return to Vietnam 20 years after the war... as friends. This film uniquely stitches together the stories of a few individuals, whose independent efforts would come together to rebuild relations between former enemies, recover the remains of soldiers lost in the Vietnam War, and bring smiles to tens of thousands of Vietnamese children and families through the corrective surgery of their cleft lips and cleft palates.
