Göweil G-1 F125 Rundballenpresse mit Triebachse bei Familie Maierhofer | I farm it my way

Together with his family, Hans-Peter Maierhofer runs a dairy farm with 75 cows in Eastern Styria. Three years ago, they purchased a new round baler, a Göweil G-1 F125, for forage harvesting. Its special feature: It's equipped with a hydraulic drive axle. This allows the machine to work very gently, even on slopes and in wet soil conditions. We accompanied the Maierhofer family with our camera during their first harvest. We spoke with Hans-Peter about his farm, forage harvesting, the technology of the round baler, and his reasons for the investment. We rode alongside his father, Johann, on the tractor and watched the drive axle in action. In the barn, we met Hans-Peter's girlfriend, Julia, who primarily cares for the animals.
