Fun fact: the very first remix I ever uploaded to this channel was way back in 2013. It is a track called Animal Apogee. I originally planned to remake and re-upload it for a 10-year anniversary in 2023, but instead, I experimented with a more ambient piece to test out a VST I had just downloaded at the time (Cardinal). And then… I completely forgot about it until recently. So, unlike my usual uploads, this mix doesn’t lean heavily into the Faulconer-style sound aside from one track that has 1 patch from the E2 Emulator. Instead, with RuneScape introducing Sailing as a new skill, I decided to turn this into a small tribute to the game that has taken up an unreasonable amount of my life over the years. Not every track here is “perfect” or as polished as I’d normally aim for, but as a test of some new VSTs and a relaxed ambient soundtrack, I think it came together surprisingly well.
