They COOKED Gen Khumalo—Then Madlanga TURNED TABLES

DA MP Glynnis Breytenbach grilled Crime Intelligence boss Lieutenant-General Dumisani Khumalo in Parliament over Brigadier Dineo Mokwele’s appointment, demanding direct answers about her qualifications and who approved the process. At the Madlanga Commission, IDAC head Advocate Andrea Johnson later conceded that Mokwele had the required qualifications, admitted that parts of her affidavit were incorrect and apologised for describing the appointment as a “token appointment”. The evidence also showed that senior SAPS officials above Khumalo’s panel reviewed and approved stages of the recruitment process, raising new questions about the fraud case and IDAC’s investigation. #madlangacommission
