Motorcycle ride via the Furka & Grimsel Passes, Switzerland.

Welcome to my touring channel. This is another short, ‘coffee & biscuits’ length video (well, 17mins actually) offering a full account of the ‘Furka & Grimsel' Passes section within Ep2 of my ‘Alps with Attitude’ motorcycle tour from June 2019. Again, I apologise for the wind noise from my lowered motorcycle screen, as it was particularly warm, and I needed the extra breeze on the day! Leaving the Hotel Friedheim in Weggis, Switzerland, on our ‘rest’ day, which is Day 9 of our trip, to ride a circular route of some of the roads missed on the previous day because of a Swiss Bike Race. Heading around Lake Lucerne, we ride South for a coffee stop in the picture postcard Realp, Switzerland before riding the fabulous Furka Pass (2,429m) and its many bends. We then head down the far side and stop off at the Belvedere Rhone Glacier, which has retreated somewhat over the last 100 years! Then, down into the small community of Gletsch before turning up the Grimsel Pass (2,164m) which was surprisingly snowy for a warm June. This video includes most of the footage that I had to cut from my Ep2 video edit.
