We traveled deep into Kazakhstan to experience the ancient nomadic lifestyle of the Turkic people. From eagle hunters and traditional yurts to horse culture, nomadic traditions, and breathtaking landscapes, this journey became much more than a travel documentary. It turned into a search for our shared roots. Along the way, we tasted traditional Kazakh food, learned about the centuries-old art of eagle hunting, met Ahiska Turks whose families were exiled during Stalin’s era, explored the stunning Kolsai and Kaindy Lakes, and rode horses through the foothills of the Tian Shan Mountains. Despite being separated by thousands of kilometers, we were amazed by how similar our languages, traditions, and values still are.
