What's the current status? -------- ○ The Idong-Namsa Advanced System Semiconductor National Industrial Complex, selected as a candidate for a national industrial complex in March 2023, received final approval from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in December of last year, one year and nine months later. The compensation announcement is currently underway. ○ Following the designation of the National Industrial Complex, in July 2023, the Idong-Namsa Advanced System Semiconductor National Industrial Complex, the Wonsam Yongin Semiconductor Cluster, and the Samsung Electronics Giheung Campus were designated as National High-Tech Strategic Industrial Complexes. In November 2023, a plan was announced to develop a semiconductor-specific new city with 16,000 households on approximately 690,000 pyeong (approximately 2,100 sq ft) in Idong-eup, Cheoin-gu. Approximately 50 semiconductor materials, components, and equipment companies are expected to move into the complex. Construction on the first fab began on February 24th of this year. 【Question 2】 You've simultaneously secured the semiconductor national industrial complex and resolved a long-standing project in Yongin that's been a long-standing concern for 45 years? ------------ ○ You led the lifting of the Songtan Water Source Protection Zone, a long-standing wish of Yongin citizens for 45 years. Parts of the national industrial complex fall within the restricted area due to the water source protection zone, and you worked together to resolve this issue, securing the decision to fully lift the Songtan Water Source Protection Zone in April of last year. Due to swift follow-up measures, the lifting was originally scheduled for the first quarter of this year, but was brought forward to December of last year. ○ The lifting of the Songtan Water Source Protection Zone has enabled businesses to move into the area, as well as the creation of residential, cultural, artistic, and sports spaces for residents. 【Question 3】 That was another challenge. With 80% of residents living in apartment complexes, I've been visiting construction sites with constant interest, and that's why citizens have been calling me that. ○ The construction site of Gyeongnam Honorsville Apartments in Yangji-myeon, Cheoin-gu, where 1,164 units will move in, has been the subject of numerous complaints from prospective residents due to poor construction issues, including leaks in the underground parking lot.
