Goa Batu Jodoh - Maros | Menelusuri Serta Menyingkap Sejarah Goa Batu Jodoh

Hello, fellow Travelers! Our destination this time is called Batu Jodoh Cave, located in the Bantimurung Nature Tourism Area in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi. The Bantimurung Nature Tourism Area is approximately 20 kilometers from Hasanuddin Airport, 15 kilometers from Maros City, and approximately 50 kilometers from downtown Makassar, South Sulawesi. Located approximately 800 meters from Bantimurung Waterfall, access to Batu Jodoh Cave is directly to the left of Bantimurung Waterfall, after first climbing a 10-meter concrete staircase. Batu Jodoh Cave is part of a series of destinations in the Bantimurung Nature Tourism Area, along with Bantimurung Waterfall, Lake Toakala, and Goa Mimpi. Before entering Batu Jodoh Cave, we will meet a cave guide who offers guide services and flashlight rentals. This flashlight will be very helpful in providing illumination while exploring the caves of Batu Jodoh Cave. We only pay Rp 10,000 for the flashlight and a voluntary tip for the guide. The stalactites and stalagmites of Batu Jodoh Cave are no less beautiful than those found in other caves. It's worth noting that each centimeter of stalactites and stalagmites takes approximately 60 years to grow. The collection of beautiful shapes and curves adds to the mystical feel imbued with myth and history. True to legend, the inner wall of Batu Jodoh Cave contains a hollow believed to facilitate the finding of a soul mate if tied with a string. Historically, Batu Jodoh Cave was once used as a place for meditation by Karaeng Bantimurung, located right in the corner of Batu Jodoh Cave, in a hollow resembling a seat. There's also the Karaeng Bantimurung ablution area, where the water never recedes. This is due not only to the springs within it but also to the seepage of water from active stalactites and stalagmites. This water is also believed to promote youthfulness. This 100-meter-long cave, equipped with a plastered walkway, is a great destination for Travelling Santuy friends in Maros Regency, South Sulawesi.
