Mars Matrix (Dreamcast) - 1cc - Mosquito 01

Well, this was probably the weirdest 1cc I've ever gotten, and it's difficult for me to comment on the run overall. All I can say was that it was both unexpected and expected. Unexpected in the sense that I truly expected this run to be dead after the multitudes of foolish deaths, and also thanks to the fact that I had only actually practiced this game for a little less than ten hours. However, it was expected in the sense that the game felt extremely easy to me, for whatever reason. The fact that the game is super short certainly helps in that regard. Probably the best part of the entire run in my opinion is either the scoring trick on stage 3, or the final boss, which I mutilated. This run really is a good showcase of all my strategies used during practice overall, and it doesn't really make any compromises. Truthfully, the only reason this game took me as long it it did, given it was two months after my previous 1cc, is that I was interested in playing other stuff the majority of the time I was also playing Mars Matrix. Probably the most difficult part of this game is the fact that the latency on the emulated Dreamcast version is just insane. When I first played the game, I genuinely thought the game was programmed to have ice physics. The latency is that bad, though you will quickly get used to it. Also, this game has the best credits theme ever.
