Interskole 2014 - 2017: Hugenote (Blackies) vs Swartland (Rockies)

Almost two years into Covid, it is unthinkable that there used be a time when we could gather in huge crowds, sing and shout from the top of our voices without any fear or mask! Every year, normally in August, Hugenote High (Blackies) and Swartland (Rockies) had Interschools, a huge event, drawing massive crowds. Weeks before, singsongs were learned and moves practised, apart from excelling in sport and numerous other events to determine who won. The main event to decide who won the interschools, is the winner of the under-19 rugby, which is also the final event. This video was composed from my archives, digging up footage of the 2014, 2015 and 2017 Interschools to remind us what it was like in the BC years (Before Covid)!
