Came for One Repair… Ended Up Replacing Laundry Valves

In today’s service call, I headed out to remove temporary saddle valves that were installed on a home’s heating system during the winter. Unfortunately, I arrived with the wrong replacement valves, so I wasn’t able to complete the original repair as planned. Instead of leaving empty-handed, I took care of another issue the homeowner needed addressed by replacing their old laundry shut-off valves. After installing the new valves, I restored the water, thoroughly checked for leaks, and made sure everything was operating properly before wrapping up the visit. Not every plumbing service call goes according to plan, but that’s part of the job. I’ll be returning next week with the correct parts to complete the original heating system repair.
