3 Week Old Chihuahua Puppy, Maria and her Puppy, Time to Socialize

Meet Maria's little puppy, a 3 week old female. She is a chocolate apple head Chihuahua, and very beautiful. And the puppy is simply adorable. At this age, a Chihuahua puppy needs to begin socialization training. I hold her, touch her feet, ears, and head, very gently to get her accustomed to that touch. I speak to her gently, again to get her used to human voices. I also hold her upside down. This builds trust and to be submissive to her human. Maria had 2 puppies, but one of them didn't make it, which is not uncommon. But her single puppy is the cutest thing you'll see today. She has blue eyes at the moment. They are likely to turn brown or hazel, but you never know with genetics. She has white "socks" on her feet too. Maria and her puppy live with my affiliate Stephanie, who is doing a wonderful job socializing this newborn Chihuahua.
