何者かになりたくて堪らなかった私 / When I Wanted to Become Somebody | Fumiko Takahashi | TEDxKeioU Salon
Driven by a desire to become someone significant, Ms. Takahashi, a high school student, ventured alone to India. However, the more experience she gained, the more conflicted she became as she struggled to understand what unique qualities she possessed. In today's era, where glamorous stories often dominate, she emphasized the importance of steadily accumulating experience. Fumiko Takahashi Her TikTok videos, documenting her daily life in India as a high school girl through her smartphone lens, quickly garnered millions of views. After returning to Japan, she operated a tuk-tuk in Gunma Prefecture. While attending Keio University, she launched an Indian-focused YouTube channel in 2020, achieving monetization within two weeks. It boasts 170,000 subscribers. In 2022, she sold the business to a domestic startup company, and the following year, 2023, she launched the inbound D2C brand "TOKYO LOLLIPOP," which is sold in Shinjuku Marui, Laforet Harajuku, Shibuya Modi, and Umeda Hankyu. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
