8 days in Asia! Let’s get it! Juan Pablo Velez flew out from Medellin while Bonestalone, Carlo Carezzano, Leo Heinert, JJ Colõn, Rodrigo Cabrejas, Blair Alley and I took off from John F. Kennedy. 17 hours later the AriZona Skate team landed in Taipei and then caught a quick flight to Hà Nội, Vietnam. Kuala Lumpur native Mark Adrian Khor aka “Marky Mark” handled the filming duties for the Ghost Money PHO Life Tour. Upon arrival Linh Đỗ & the LB Skate Shop crew had motorbikes reservations on lock and spots lined up. After some tasty tea & PHO on Tràng Tiền Street we hit the spots tough with our new Vietnamese skate friends: Nam Chè, Sơn Nguyễn, Cẩm Vũ, Vân Kitty, Tôn Dương Trung, & Danh Truong. Highlights from our Asian Adventure included 30+ mile insane motorbike rides each day, an epic session in the heart of Hanoi at Lý Thái Tổ Plaza, a super productive filming mission at Vườn hoa Lênin, or Lenin Garden & a secret skateable pagoda way outside the city. The AriZona team also handled a demo at Hà Nội Skate Park, Vietnam’s first indoor cement facility. The park was beautiful, local skaters were ripping & everyone had a blast. The Phố cổ Hà Nội district was a killer spot to get food and drinks at night. Leo got a hold of the microphone and his karoke skills lit up the entire block with a performance of Toño Rosario’s - Kulikitaka. The crowd went into a frenzy! Staten Island would be proud. Leo’s final words “Vietnam. Ya Heard.” Overall Vietnam was lit! The local Vietnamese people were wonderful, the food was next level, it was safe & super rad for skating.
