Dither Fish to Reduce Aggression--5 Giant Danios
I added 5 more giant danios to manage aggression and keep fish out in the open. Giant danios are one of my favorite go to dither fish, also called target fish. Dither fish serve the function of schooling in the open, which brings fish out of hiding more often. They can focus their aggression on a fish that's able to move faster than them, often saving tankmates from being bullied. I'm not 100% optimistic that this will work perfectly in this case, however. The male peacock cichlid that has been bullying my male blue dolphin is actually trying to steal the dolphin's mate. The two are compatible genetically, but I would never keep fry of that combination. I had a dolphin/venustus and didn't like it at all. I do think the three giant danios needed company, however. #cichlidaquarium #schoolaquarium #malawicichlid #aquarium #fishtank #fishkeepinghobby #
