TV IALOMITA - "Boboteaza la Suditi - 2016"

The locals of Suditi celebrated Epiphany with beans in a cauldron and mulled wine (JANUARY 6, 2016). The most zealous went to the church in the morning where they participated in the water blessing service and took a big agheasma. The horse breeders gathered in front of the place of worship where the priest baptized the animals to protect them from diseases during the year. Then, everyone went to the islaz on the outskirts of the village to demonstrate their riding skills. After competing in the speed competition and the pole vaulting competition, the villagers of Suditi gathered in the center of the village, where they celebrated with beans with sausages and mulled wine. For the sake of tradition and tempted by the tasty dishes, people ignored the cold rain outside for hours. Others appreciated the mulled wine more because it helped them warm up after the cold they endured during the competitions. The winners of the traditional competitions organized by the Epiphany were awarded diplomas and horse harnesses by the city councilors.
