Our much-deserved post-birthday and Mother’s Day getaway stayed local this year, but it felt like a dream escape. We traded the mainland for the timeless charm of Avalon, the jewel of Southern California nestled on beautiful Catalina Island. This time, instead of our usual hotel stay, we chose a cozy 3-day, 2-night Airbnb experience — and it exceeded every expectation. The charming blue-and-white house on Clemente was absolutely perfect for all 6 of us, including Rafi and Rocki, our two adventure-loving pups. From the breathtaking island vibes to the warm hospitality of the best host ever, every moment felt relaxing, memorable, and exactly what we needed.
