One of the Strangest Swarm Locations I’ve Ever Seen!
Hundreds of workers. Heavy equipment everywhere. And right in the middle of it all… a honeybee swarm decides to move in. In this video, I respond to one of the most unusual swarm calls I’ve received yet — a bivouac located at the brand new Veterans Hospital construction site in Louisville, Kentucky. Because this is a recognized federal construction site, special permission had to be granted before I could even enter the area to remove the bees safely. Once on site, I found the swarm clustered in an incredibly strange location — very low to the ground and attached underneath the end of a 2x6 board sticking out of the dirt. Surrounded by curious construction workers and an active job site, I carefully work to capture and relocate the swarm without harming the bees. After the removal, I take the swarm back home to the apiary where we get them installed into their brand new hive and settled into their new home. This was definitely one of the more fascinating and unique swarm captures I’ve experienced. 👉 Check out The Hive Butler here: https://mannlakeltd.com/extracting-bo...
