Así está Los Planes de Renderos

On this special tour, I invite you to rediscover that natural balcony that in the 1950s and 60s was the "Santa Elena" of San Salvador, the preferred refuge of the elite who sought the cool air of the highlands and the elegance of the stone villas. We walk along the paths of Balboa Park, that first green space founded in 1950, to encounter the mysticism of the Chac Mool and the Monkey King, sculptures that hold the essence of our mestizo heritage under the shade of the pine trees. We also stop at the iconic Mirador, admiring its imposing Art Deco style and those carved stone murals that, currently undergoing restoration, promise to bring back the splendor of our golden age. This video is for you, who grew up running around these plazas, and for you who are far from El Salvador and miss that scent of wood smoke and mist that can only be found here. We'll talk about the decline of the 1980s, but above all, about the hope of its reopening. Press play and let's return together to that place where San Salvador looks like a nativity scene of lights and where our history lives on in every bite of a hot pupusa.
