Transporter: VW's iconic Kombi delivers the goods

Its really not hard to understand why the 'Kombi' is so loved by South Africans - those brilliant David Kramer ads that not only perfectly captured the spirit of the mini-bus, but also summed us up as a nation at the time. And each and every one of us has a 'Kombi' story to tell.... I recently spent some time with the latest version and covered just on 3000km 'delivering' a very important package - the new Golf 8 GTI. I was tasked with producing content for its digital premiere in South Africa and needed a vehicle to transport my crew as we took to the road on our shoot - the perfect job the Kombi! Even though the pioneer now has competition in the segment, it still remains tough to fault.
