Graveyard Valley (2008)

Graveyard valley was the site of the last St'at'imc / Tsilhqot'in war. Though peace had been declared in the 1840's, it wasn't until 2003 that the people officially buried the hatchet and collectively joined to honor those who had passed. In 2007, the St'at'imc and Tsilhqot'in nations erected a monument in Graveyard valley, to honor the fallen warriors and declare their intentions to protect their lands from further development. This film includes stunning cinematography of a breath taking landscape as well as footage from these historic ceremonies and interviews with elders from St'at'imc and Tsilhqot'in nations. Directed by Jeremy Williams Produced by Seton Lake Band, St’at’imc Nation 31 minutes Standard definition (Shot on mini DV tape) Additional videography of the 2003 ceremony by the late William Myers.
