Yokohama, Daikanyamacho, Handmade Sushi, Cat Cafe, Shibuya Sky & Crossing 🗼 ⛩️ | Tokyo Vlog pt. 2

Welcome back to the second part of our Tokyo series!🗼✨ We still have three exciting days left to explore the best attractions and neighborhoods of Tokyo.📸 On Friday, we visited the nearby city of Yokohama to escape the busy streets of central Tokyo.☺️ Yokohama welcomed us with its tall buildings, quiet streets, and delicious sushi. It was our first time trying fresh, handmade sushi in Japan.🍣🤤 We had to stand while eating, as the chefs prepared the sushi right in front of us, and everything tasted incredibly fresh.🥺 We continued exploring the city and its landmarks. At the amusement park, we tried our luck at winning prizes, but unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side.🤣🧸 The Cup Noodles Museum showed us the design process of noodles and how they became such a hit.🍜💯 Despite the heat, we enjoyed the beautiful sea views, visited a seaside park, and explored the traditional Chinatown. We ended the day in Shinjuku, playing games and ping pong.🏓🍹 To escape the busy metro station, we decided to walk to Meiji Shrine. On our way, we encountered an aesthetic train crossing and small, hidden streets.🚉🏘️ The Torii gate welcomed us to the shrine, which was packed with people.⛩️ There was a ceremony taking place, with some people wearing colorful kimonos.👘 From the shrine, we continued to smaller neighborhoods like Ebisunishi and Daikanyamacho, which were filled with narrow streets and cozy cafes.☕️🍰 As we walked along the metro tracks, we made our way back to Shibuya. We had reserved tickets for Shibuya Sky, which was absolutely worth it. The views of the city were stunning, and we could relax and take pictures in the great weather.📸✨ I was quite surprised by the number of people crossing Shibuya Crossing at the same time. It was so packed and has now become a major tourist attraction.🥹😆 After recovering from the crossing, we had lunch at a sushi place with a conveyor belt that delivered orders right in front of us. The selection was amazing, with different types of sushi, ramen, desserts, and beverages.🍣🧃🍰 We spent the rest of the day shopping, especially at Mega Don Quijote in Shibuya, and later visited an izakaya for some bar snacks and drinks.🍹🥢 I couldn’t sleep well on my last night in Tokyo, I didn’t want to go back.😭 In the morning, I quickly packed my things, checked out, and had breakfast. We tried to find a luggage locker, but they were all taken, so we had to drag our heavy luggage with us.😩 Eventually, we made our way to the busy Takeshita Street, with its small shops and various pet cafes.🐈🦦🐶🐾 We stayed for a while, but walking was quite difficult in the crowd.😣 Before heading back to Narita Airport, I quickly visited Mega Don Quijote once again for some last-minute shopping.😆🛍️ After that, we rested our legs at a cat cafe for 30 minutes. Some of the cats were very friendly and wanted to be petted, while others were hiding or sleeping.🐈 Feeling a bit hungry, we stopped for our last ramen of the trip. It wasn’t as good as the first ramen we had on the first day, but it was still satisfying.🍜😋 Then it was time to find the Narita Express Train, which took us back to the starting point. I was worried about my luggage being overweight due to all the shopping, but luckily, we made it to the plane without any problems.😅 Soon, we landed back at Cheongju Airport, where we took a train back to KAIST campus.🚈 Thank you for joining my Tokyo series.
