Exodus - Beyond the Event Horizon (Guitar Cover)
The second Exodus song I’m covering where the title starts with “Beyond the”. The other was Beyond the Pale which is my favorite song from another album with Rob Dukes on vocals. Even though I’m not the biggest fan of this new album, it’s at least fairly enjoyable and I don’t think it’s as bad as some people are saying. It’s great to hear Dukes on another Exodus album at least, even though I’m a Zetro fan as well. This song is by far my favorite from the album. Fast chaotic songs about being obliterated by black holes are always welcome. This might be the “easiest” of the three Exodus songs I’ve covered so far but “easy” is a term used very loosely here. I think this took more attempts to record than any other song I’ve learned. It’s definitely not easy but it’s definitely not overly technical either. The main challenge was some of the confusing timings and nuances throughout the song. It might not sound too complicated at first, but try learning it and you’ll see what I mean. That’s about all I have to say for now. I’m very much looking forward to seeing Exodus for the fifth time next month.
