Our Basil Went CRAZY… Here’s How We’re Preserving It 🌿

🌿 Our basil absolutely exploded this season, so it was time for a harvest! In this video, I’m harvesting organically grown basil from our suburban backyard garden and preserving it in two simple ways so we can enjoy it long after the growing season ends. We successfully dehydrated basil for the first time using our Benchfood dehydrator, and also turned a big harvest into homemade basil pesto using the fantastic RecipeTin Eats recipe. The pesto is then frozen into handy blocks using a silicone mould, making it easy to grab exactly what we need for future meals.
