MTA Bus Operators Bring Accessibility to Life
Accessibility is a pillar of service for New York City Transit and MTA Bus Company. Our nearly 6000 buses are all accessible via ramp or lift, and we are working to improve seating configurations and provide for wider wheelchair ramps and rear doors on our buses. But accessibility isn't just about these physical assets - it's the 12,000+ operators that truly make our fleet accessible. The actions of our operators set the standard for service, and we are proud of the excellent service they provide every day to all our customers. This video highlights some of our heroic frontline operators who have received customer commendations for providing outstanding accessible service over the years
