Morimoto, a French horn player, spoke on behalf of the band to express gratitude to friends in Taiwan: “Our 121st class visited Taiwan twice to perform when we were still in high school. This time, we have returned as alumni to stand on the Taiwanese stage once again. We are truly happy to come back to the Taiwan we love so much and to see everyone again. Our hearts are filled with gratitude, and we feel deeply honored to be invited to take part in such a wonderful event.” The members of the “Orange Devils” 121st class, who won gold at the All-Japan Marching Contest for four consecutive years, previously traveled to Taiwan for performance tours in 2022 and 2023. For many of them, Taiwan was the very first destination they had ever visited abroad. Some even had the precious opportunity to perform on the stage of Taiwan’s National Day celebrations, creating unforgettable and cherished memories. After graduation, the members voluntarily formed an alumni band as a journey of gratitude in return for Taiwan’s warm invitation and support. Returning to this beloved land with greater maturity, they will visit both Taipei and Chiayi County. This also marks their return to a major national-level stage since their performance at Taiwan’s 2022 National Day celebration.
