Surba Rest House (1927) | British Era Bungalows in Pakistan | One day Picnic Sites During the British colonial era in what is now Pakistan, various rest houses, dak bungalows, and government-owned accommodations were established for travelers, civil servants, and military personnel. Many of these colonial-era rest houses are still in existence and have been maintained or repurposed for modern use. Surba Rest House near Surba Village is one of such rest houses built some 96 years ago to monitor and protect the forests of this area. Situated at an altitude of about 4100 feet above sea level, this rest house is at a distance of about 60 kilometers from Zero Point Islamabad.
