I work with North Battleford for Police Dog Services. I've been a member for the past nine and a half years, and I work with my police dog, Sully. We've been a team for the past year. We're able to support General Duty, our Gang Task Force, our CRT units, our forensics units, our Major Crimes. We're basically able to assist every unit. Our dogs are our locating tool, and we get called to locate subjects who had fled the scene of a crime, missing people, or to locate evidence. Sully is super eager to work. He doesn't really have an off switch. He's always on the ball all the time. He's very excited to work. He's very fast when we are tracking. We have such a strong bond together, and it's amazing what our dogs can do. With all the advancements in technology that we have out there, drones, planes, infrared in the sky, all this technology, there's nothing that can recreate what a dog can do, which would be tracking somebody from point A to point B. There's nothing that can recreate that. It's one of the most archaic ways of finding somebody. There's nothing better than finding somebody at the end of a track, or through an evidence search, or a missing person search. Nothing more rewarding for myself and my dog. Good boy.
