Did you know Eric Clapton had a sweet tooth? George wrote this after Eric kept having to go to the dentist from eating chocolates. The box of 'Good News' sweets that Eric ate had all the different names of flavors on it, and George put them in the lyrics He recorded all the guitar parts himself on his Lucy Les Paul. John did not perform on this track! Paul recorded a great Rickenbacker bass part I'm using my 2005 Gibson Les Paul Standard into my 1965 Fender Bassman to get the same sound.
