Employer Mehmet Güler explained that they started in the summer and that the hay harvest is very busy for four or five months. Güler, noting that the work starts at 5:00 a.m. and continues until 1:00 a.m., said, “As winter approaches, our hay loading decreases. We're loading 70-80 tons per day. Tonnages drop during these times. We're currently pressing bulk hay. We're sending it to livestock breeders in Erzincan and Erzurum. We're preparing them for winter.” Güler, noting that this heavy workload will continue for another month or two, said, “Our workers struggle greatly in the summer due to the extreme heat. Pressing work is excellent this time of year. The weather is cool, and the workers don't get tired. Now, we start at 7:00 a.m. and continue until 7:00-8:00 p.m. They charge per ton, and their daily wages reach 3,000.
