On Saturday, May 30th, the June festivities officially began in Ceará, with professional quadrille groups starting the marathon of competitions and festivals. To provide an overview of the celebrations in the state, ranging from neighborhood quadrille groups to large festivals and award-winning associations, the Pause program on Friday, May 29th, hosted two local experts on the study and experience of the traditions and updates of the June festivities. In the studio with presenter Clovis Holanda were Harding Benício, a professor of history, sociology, and philosophy, quadrille dancer, and director of research and creation for Junina Babaçu, and Aterlane Martins, also a professor, historian, and researcher of cultural heritage.
