1909 Henry Greenly’s Undertype - Live Steam - Garden Running (2015) [More Video & Pics]
Re-upload. I found a whole bunch more video and photo files from my garden steam ups. It was an honor to restore and run something so old. I only hope her owners look after her for another 100 years. 1909 Henry Greenly’s Undertype - Live Steam - Restoration/Re-build (2014) Background information source: http:www.jsbmodelrestorations.com/?page_id=1916 "Circa 1901 / 1903 Henry Greenly published the design for a compound undertype stationary engine and boiler. Construction of the copper boiler is brazed and riveted. Fittings include water and pressure gauges, safety valve, blower, clack and blowdown valves. Engine details include cylinders 1¼in. and 2in. diameter, drain cocks, mechanical lubricator, eccentric driven feed pump with expansion dome and bypass cock, disc cranks, lubricator cups, belt driven governor, spoked flywheel and split chimney. All mounted on a cast bed. In 1909 Harold Burnigham, a motor engineer of Harrogate, completed this superbly well engineered model." I had the privilege to look after this engine for a short period and it was a joy to steam and run. I feel honored to have looked after something so old. Enjoy!
