Episode 559 Train Sim World 6: Tharandter Rampe: Dresden to Chemnitz - Germany 🇩🇪 From Dresden Hbf to Freiberg (Sachs) Lean into yesteryear and experience the challenge of unique tilting diesel traction. Built in sections throughout the mid-19th century, the line between Dresden and Chemnitz faced treacherous terrain. Gradients as steep as 2.6% were constructed through the valleys between Freiberg and Dresden, making for a treacherous climb and descent for rail traffic. The line has also seen many sections rebuilt over the years to account for increasing demand and congestion. The Line is electrified; however, it is still served by diesel traction to connect with unelectrified lines beyond Chemnitz. The train is BR 1442 Talent 2 Electric Multiple Unit from Bombardier 2011 - 2015 with a 15kV AC Overhead Engine, and the train has 3 passenger wagons and the weight is 118.8 tons, and its 56.5 meters (61.8 yards) and PZB and Sifa is on and the train operator is MD (S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland).
