Bloomer Shorts Sewing Guide | How I made bloomers (diy sewing ideas) | tiered ruffle shorts

Hello everyone! Here is a loose tutorial on how I made these bloomer style shorts. I know it's a messy process but we got there lol Let me know if you want to see more videos like this! Materials🧵🪡    I don't have exact measurements for everything but here is a general note to what fabrics you need: Stretch fabric that feels comfortable on your skin (i used a jersey knit cotton blend), you'll need enough for the base of your shorts and the waist band Lace fabric!!! You can use any kind. Mine did have a stretch to it but that isn't necessary. ---- As for how much lace to purchase, I would suggest measuring the width of a pair of spandex shorts you already have and multiply that measurement by 4 to account for the gathers. I also made each strip about 4 inches tall.
