We're guest hosting an appraisal fair as a fundraiser to support the West Gadsden Historical Society and their plucky group of volunteers, who are making it a fun and worthwhile place for history buffs and antique lovers to visit! We start (and finish) with appraisals of actual values of everything from a silver mine's placer chart to a corn shucker that I needed help from viewers to correctly identify! Tiffany and stoneware, regional art and vernacular roadside paintings get equal time among this diverse group of items to be appraised. Then we take a tour of this 'thrifted' museum, where donations include a very valuable piano, the likes of which most people have never seen!
