Creating Depth, Shape and Form in Portrait Photography
Learn More: https://bit.ly/2Xz5Sp7 One of the most important lessons almost all portrait photographers learn is that shadows help to give the viewer a sense of depth and shape. This is true but only when the primary subject is of a brightness or tonality that easily allows for contrast between light and dark areas. For example, when photographing something or someone light in tonality, shadows are the contrast control tool you would want to use. However, when photographing something or someone of a dark tonality, it is the highlight details that help to illustrate the point of depth, shape, form and texture.
