Dr. Carol Anne Williams, San Diego Civic Organist Emerita and a world-renowned organist with a D.M.A. from Manhattan School of Music, an Artist Diploma from Yale, and fellowships like FRCO and ARAM. I read music before English and trained at the Royal Academy of Music, studying with masters like Daniel Roth in Paris. From 2001 to 2017, I directed North America’s largest organ concert series in San Diego, becoming the first female Civic Organist. I’ve performed globally, collaborating with symphonies, jazz, and pop artists. With 23 CDs, 50 compositions, and my documentary TourBus and YouTube show On the Bench, I aim to introduce the classical organ to new audiences, inspiring joy with virtuosic, eclectic performances.
