Chris Lewis Calls for Relief at the Pump for Essex Families

Families across Essex are feeling the pressure every time they fill up their vehicles, buy groceries, or pay for everyday necessities. In this speech, I shared real concerns from residents in Kingsville, Belle River, Essex, and Amherstburg who are asking for practical relief from rising fuel costs. For many families in our region, driving is not optional. It is how people get to work, take their kids to school, support local businesses, and keep food on the table. That is why Conservatives are calling on the government to cut all federal taxes on gas and diesel for the rest of the year, including the GST, and permanently scrap the Clean Fuel Standard. Affordability cannot just be a word in a budget. It has to mean real relief for the people who are working hard and doing everything they can to keep up. As the Member of Parliament for Essex, I will continue bringing the voices of our residents to Ottawa.
