THINK about what you will enjoying doing everyday ( every night) and choose your location based on your lifestyle. TALK to who will be your neighbors: ask them about the building , maintenance, noise levels, repairs, power outages, water outages. I know this one is weird and probably won't make much sense but look at a map of the building and find out which walls of your neighbors touch your walls. WE only have one actual wall touching neighbor and we don't hear him, but our Master Shower backs into his Master Bedroom wall of all the walls, ( very odd) it makes us more cognizant of not taking 2 AM showers next to him, it's called being a good neighbor. Are there animals near you? Maybe you don't like dogs and your condo will have 8 dogs living above you. Could be an issue listening to running dogs everyday. Maybe your balcony will be over the pool which is great until you realize it's a social scene there every day and night until midnight. THIS is a weird one, FIND OUT what the walls are made out of, all of the walls in Panama are not engineered from sheetrock, if you like hanging things on your walls you may have to create another plan. If you will be in a stand alone house, where is the trash receptacle, where does trash get picked up from? You might not want to see the trash in front of your street everyday. Check with your health insurance, where will your doctors be located ? What if you move to the mountains and all of your doctors are in Panama City? Not sure of your health situation but this may an issue for you. Do you have a remote office? How important is good internet for you? What is offered in your neighborhood you select?
