A Criminal Gang Once Ran This Beautiful Village - Alfriston

In this episode of Doorstep Explorer, we journey through Alfriston to uncover the layers of history hidden across this Cuckmere Valley village. We start in the village itself, digging into its dark past and the smuggling gangs who once ran these streets. We then step into the Clergy House, the first property ever acquired by the National Trust, before crossing to St Andrew's Church, the so-called "Cathedral of the Downs."
