How to control Shoot borer in Sada bahar or sorghum Sudangrass || Crop Reformer

Sada bahar sorghum (Sorghum sudangrass hybrid) is an important multi-cut fodder in most parts of irrigated Punjab. Shoot borer (chilo infuscatellus) commonly known as KEERRI has become an important bottle neck in the production of this fodder. In this video, we have advised the farmers to control this insect with repeated spray of Regent–Bayer Pakistan (Fipronil) @ 45 gram per acre using 100 liter of water. 1sy spray should done at 12-15 days and repeated at 20-25 days after planting. Fodder production is one of the main output needed for continuous growth and development of dairy industry in Pakistan. As faced by different crops, plants grown for fodder purpose also face the issues of insects and diseases related to them. It is necessary to curb these pests to achieve a uniform growth and production of fodders.
