Defeating the Watchtower #7 – The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and the “Improved Version”
This video discusses the bible known as “The Improved Version upon the Basis of Archbishop Newcome’s Translation” and more commonly known as “The Improved Version.” As far as I know, the Watchtower has never given a history or the origin of the Improved Version and individuals are left to their own devices in determining its origins. Based on my experience of over 25 years of interactions with Jehovah’s Witnesses, most believe the Improved Version is evidence from a Christian that John 1:1 can be translated “a god” and because this bible is supposedly from a Christian, it shows their New World Translation is correct. This video will refute this common misconception.
