Countdown is a long-running British game show where contestants face off in rounds of challenging word and number puzzles, racing against the clock to form the longest words and solve arithmetic problems using only a few numbers. Originally hosted by Richard Whiteley and now presented by Colin Murray, with letters and numbers rounds led by Rachel Riley and dictionary guidance from Susie Dent.
