Crystal Cutting, Shaping and Polishing Ornamental Fluorite UV Reactive Fluorescent Minerals 💎

Found in Derbyshire just laying on the ground. I will briefly demonstrate the long process of creating such a piece using a wet polisher machine, with grinding disc (80 or 50 grit), then polishing with diamond resin velcro pads. The results are exception. You will see Fluorite and Galena (lead) minerals being polished, but not the Calcite, i wanted to leave that in it's original state, so i just polish the front of the crystal and a little around the edges and on top. Then you can enjoy the power of ultraviolet light in every wavelength, 365nm, 310nm, 255nm (UVA, UVB, UVC). Also demonstrating Phosphorescence (when the uv torch is quickly removed activation the 'afterglow' effect, this is caused by the atom jumping into a higher orbital within the crystal lattice, as the atom gently go back to their original state they release energy in the form of light, usually a different colour depending on the wavelength of UV used). Check out the pics at the end (see time stamps below for easy acess)and you will see how i can display various crystal on the ornaments platform shelf, in this example i am using highly fluorescent minerals such as Scapolite Wernerite from Canada, Calcite collected from Derbyshire UK, and the notorious fluorescent Trancas Geode from Mexico, prepare to be amazed!!
