The former member of the legendary group DBSK wants to make up for the disappointment of fans after his concert in Hanoi was canceled at the end of last year. Kim Jae Joong is attracting the attention of the Kpop fan community in Vietnam as he arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on the afternoon of April 26th to perform at the 2024 Kim Jae Joong Special J-Party Fan Concert titled "I'm Twenty" (held on the evening of April 27th). This is a concert combined with a fan meeting organized by the famous South Korean idol to mark his 20th anniversary in the entertainment industry. Upon landing at Tan Son Nhat Airport amidst a warm welcome from numerous fans, the 80s-born star quickly headed to his hotel to prepare for a press conference that evening. Despite a long flight, the South Korean singer and actor appeared full of energy, friendly, and enthusiastic in his interactions with the press. With "I'm Twenty" in Ho Chi Minh City, Kim Jae Joong hopes to make amends to Vietnamese fans for the unpleasant experience he had nearly six months ago. Specifically, the owner of the hit "Just Another Girl" was announced as one of the stars performing at a Vietnamese-Korean music event held in Hanoi for Christmas 2023. A few days before the event, it was plagued by controversies related to the organization, and several artists (including Kim Jae Joong) subsequently announced their withdrawal because the organizers did not fulfill their contractual obligations. The incident caused a huge backlash against the organizers, and to this day, ticket buyers have not received adequate compensation. After reassuring Vietnamese fans on social media, Kim Jae Joong promised to meet them again soon. He also shared at a press conference a few hours ago: "A concert was canceled earlier, which deeply hurt my fans. I've been thinking about how to comfort and compensate for their hurt. I hope that tomorrow, when you come to the concert, you will forget the hurt and enjoy yourselves." The singer of "Mine" also looks forward to meeting his long-time fans at tomorrow's fan meet and performance.
