Some of the downsides of the original one, were revised, but unfortunately some other were removed. Most importantly, QD no longer require "side-talking" by place the speaker and microphone on the front panel, like a normal phone. The "OK" key was placed as a separate button, outside D-Pad to avoid accidentally pressing it during gaming. Other very notable improvement was the display. Although being the same technology and specs - TFT, 4096 colors, same resolution and size, it is much brighter and with vivid colors. ❌ Unfortunately, for some reason, probably cost-cutting or to improve battery life, there were major features removed from it - QD does not have hardware support for stereo MP3 playback, FM radio and USB connectivity, that's why lots of fans prefer the original one instead of QD ✅ The "gaming" side of the device starts and ends pretty much with the shape and keyboard configuration. Inside it was normal Symbian 6.1 Series 60 smartphone, no extra hardware related to running games, with not the best CPU and GPU for the time, games comes on normal MMC card, with no security and most of them can be run directly on other Symbian Nokia smartphones without any problem and with the same performance, even better if played on newer models with Symbian 7 and 8. 🎮 There are 58 official N-Gage games available. Two of the games were not released in North America: Flo-Boarding (Germany and UK only, cart only bundle with phone package) and Sega Rally (Australia and Brazil only). All but three titles (Payload, Snakes, Virtua Cop) were available for retail purchase, those three were downloadable from the website. One more game was bundled with the N-Gage (on the Support CD): an exclusive version of Space Impact Evolution X, that was later made available to Symbian S60v2 phones. Other than N-Gage titles, the device supports native Series 60 games and Java ME applets written specifically for Series 60. 🎭 The phone has quite a few different packages, bundles with games and/or accessories due to the low sales numbers, Nokia tried in lots of ways to make the phone more attractive. For example there are bundles with FIFA, COD, Sonic, SIMS, PTG and probably more. Those have additional sticker at the one corner of the box, displaying what game bundle is exactly. Inside there is a game cartridge in a plastic case and game manual. There are also more bundles which apart from one or two games, includes also movies on MMC card and the most desirable ones include special N-Gage accessories - MMC expander, Snap-On speaker, or phone carrying case. In all those the box is the same retail one, with additional stickers on it.
