Maintaining the cleanliness of streets, roads, and the surrounding environment is a factor in improving the environment, a sign of responsibility, patriotism, and respect for the blessings of nature. Any initiative aimed at improving and cleaning the environment plays an important role in forming a healthy society and raising environmental culture. With this goal in mind, the environmental protection department in Vakhsh district, together with the Executive Body of the district government, held an environmental campaign "Local Cleanliness" and an information and educational event "Road Cleanliness". Residents of the towns and villages of Vakhsh, Fayzi Istiklol, Rudaki, and 20th Anniversary of State Independence, as well as employees of organizations and institutions, participated in this initiative with a high sense of responsibility and contributed to keeping the living environment clean and beautiful. The participants of the campaign first engaged in cleaning streets, neighborhoods, villages and other public places. As a result, a large amount of household waste was collected and transported to special places using special equipment. At the same time, the sides of the roads were cleared of thorns, weeds and other waste, and drainage ditches were also cleaned. These measures are of great importance for improving the sanitary situation, preventing blockage of watercourses and maintaining the beautiful appearance of the areas. These measures are aimed at increasing the responsibility of citizens in protecting the environment, improving the sanitary condition of populated areas and strengthening the ecological culture of society, and were held in an atmosphere of solidarity and responsibility. As part of the "Cleanliness of the Area" campaign, extensive cleaning work was carried out in streets, neighborhoods, villages, near educational institutions, health care institutions and other public places. With the involvement of residents and employees of organizations and institutions, a large amount of household waste was collected and transported to special landfills using special equipment. As part of the event, an information and educational campaign “Road Cleanliness” was held. Its main goal was to raise environmental awareness among road users, prevent littering on the side of the road, and promote a responsible attitude towards the environment. As part of this initiative, information leaflets on compliance with the rules of cleanliness and environmental protection were installed in passenger vehicles, and explanatory discussions were held with drivers and passengers. During the meetings, officials explained the importance of complying with the requirements of environmental legislation, maintaining road cleanliness, and contributing to environmental protection, and called on residents to treat nature with care. Environmental protection officials noted that holding such events, along with improving the environmental situation, plays an important role in forming an ecological culture, raising citizens’ sense of responsibility, and involving society more in environmental improvement and construction work.
