Forestry work is physically demanding and dangerous. The drought of recent summers, storms in the fall, and, not least, the widespread spread of bark beetles make the forest a hazardous environment. With Westtech's Woodcracker grapple saws and cutting heads, this activity becomes easier, more efficient, and above all, safer, because people no longer have to work in the danger zone. We visited various customers in Austria and Germany and accompanied them on camera as they worked: a retired farmer thinning the forest with a Weidemann farm loader and a Woodcracker cutting head, and a forestry contractor using a grapple saw on his self-built logging trailer.
