We Discovered the Beauty and Food Culture of Baku Our adventure in Baku started in Fountains Square, full of artificial waterfalls, cafes and shops. We tasted Azerbaijani delicacies such as Badımcan levengisi, local cheeses and yoghurt appetizers. We visited the Maiden's Tower and the Palace of the Shirvanshahs in the Old City, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We saw the eternal flame on the Martyrs' Path. We visited the Flame Towers and the Heydar Aliyev Center designed by Zaha Hadid. We tried traditional Azerbaijani breakfast products at the local restaurant. We took a gondola ride on the Venetian-style canal and visited the Azerbaijan Carpet Museum. We had a fun and educational time at Baku Zoo. We discovered the history, culture and modern face of Baku.
