In 2016, Del Bigtree, then a journalist and producer, publicly challenged Dr. Marcus Zervos, head of the infectious diseases department at Henry Ford Health System (one of Michigan's largest hospital networks). He asked him to conduct the largest observational study ever carried out in the United States, comparing the overall health of children vaccinated according to the recommended vaccination schedule with that of unvaccinated (or partially vaccinated) children.
